Rooted in passion, grown with purpose.

My journey as a landscape designer didn’t begin in a classroom — it began in my nana’s backyard. Every weekend growing up, we explored greenhouses and garden centers together, where I soaked up the language of plants and the rhythm of seasons before I even knew it was something you could study.

I later honed my technical skills at Michigan State University, where I studied Experience Architecture, and spent a transformative period studying in Hawai'i. These experiences taught me how to shape not just spaces, but how people move through and feel within them. I learned how to bring stories to life through thoughtful design — both visually and emotionally.

Before founding Rylee Windsor Landscape Design, I served as Principal Landscape Designer at one of Southwest Michigan’s largest garden centers. I had the privilege of designing for thousands of clients, leading complex residential projects, and creating outdoor spaces that were both functional and alive with beauty.

Today, I specialize in landscape design that blends structure with soul. From native plantings and perennial gardens to custom koi ponds and hardscape layouts, I approach every project with care, creativity, and an eye for detail. I don’t just want to make your space beautiful — I want it to feel right.

I may have the education, but my deepest knowledge was self-taught — from the dirt up. I design with heart, and I always make sure the plants are just as happy as the people.
